Vatel MBA with Concentration in Hospitality Management

Admission Requirements

  1. Students must have a bachelor’s degree. Students with a bachelor degree not in the field of business will be required to take 2 prerequisite courses. 
  2. Students must have a minimum of 6 months relevant hospitality and tourism experience.
  3. Minimum GPA is 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
  4. GRE or GMAT Exams are not required.

Additional for International Students

  1. Minimum English proficiency for international students is as follows: *IELTS - 6.0. *TOEFL iBT – 70  *PTE – 50  *CAMBRIDGE – 170  *CEFR - B2  *iTEP Academic - 4.0      *DET: 49-59.
  2. Copy of passport and I-20 filing documents (see with admission)

Each applicant will be considered based on his or her individual academic background and professional experience. Additional admissions requirements may apply. 

The MBA program in Los Angeles may not be available to all applicants. 

If the Bachelor’s degree is in a field other than Business, students may be required to take 2 pre-requisite courses:

  • ACT 5000 - Financial and Managerial Accounting
  • ECO 5000 - International Economics and Trade

Vatel BACHELOR's degree with Concentration in Hospitality Management

Admission Requirements

  1. A completed application
  2. Minimum GPA: 2.0 on a 4.0 scale
  3. High school diploma or equivalent (College transcripts required for transfer students)
  4. High school students: A-G courses and SAT not required
  5. Transfer students: CSU GE and IGETC patterns accepted

For International Students

  1. Official TOEFL Score (70 IBT) or IELTS 5.5 or above or English as medium of instruction letter from former school
  2. Copy of passport and I-20 filing documents (see with admission)

Application Process for all Vatel Programs at Alliant International University

There is a 2 step admissions process for all Vatel programs at Alliant. 

1.) Apply to the Vatel Program and complete the interview process. 

2.) After successfully completing the interview process, you will be guided through the Alliant International University admissions process.

Tuition & Fees

Tuition for the MBA is charged by session/semester unit at $725 per unit with a total of 36 semester units. Total MBA in Hospitality and Management program tuition/fees is $26,100 for students who have a bachelor’s in a business-related area and do not need to complete the two pre-requisite courses. This estimate does not include costs for books and supplies or room/board. 

Tuition is paid per academic semester (16 weeks) and includes placement assistance for paid practical training assignments.
