At the very moment this eighth edition of Vatel Planet is being printed, an event is taking place at Vatel Switzerland that would have been right at home in this issue: The International Hospitality Careers Forum. Professionals in the field, Vateliens, faculty members and students talk about hospitalitybased careers, with down-to-earth examples, answering questions for this afternoon that high-school students asked them, and who, after having spoken with a Hotel Manager,a C.F.O, a Revenue Manager or an Events Manager, will perhaps find the vocation and desire to succeed in an international career.
Such gatherings, at Vatel, are far from being unique. For more than 35 years now, the Group has been bringing stakeholders in the international hospitality industrytogether. Research projects, think-tanks, case studies and forward-looking studies are just a few of the projects where representatives from national or global organizations, professionals, Vateliens and faculty members meet. They all build relationships and act together, giving students the means of succeeding in their professional careers, as soon as they’ll be on the job market.
